Not knowing if the place was actually abandoned or just severly neglected, I proceeded with caution. I approached the gates and sure enough they were not manned nor were they locked. I stepped inside and looked around the surroundings. The place surely was in need of maintenance as it appeared it had gone without some for a long time. Quickening My pace a bit as I felt in My soul that My initial instinct was correct and this Inn was truly abandoned. Before Me I could see these steps that led up to large double wooden doors. I carefully made My way up the stairs and moved towards the doors, reaching out for the handle jiggling it to see if it was locked. I was not very surprised to find that it was not and with that the doors opened and I stepped inside instructing My girl to follow along closely.

Once inside I made My way through what appeared to be the Main hall of the Inn. It was a rather large area. Easily accomodating many people. There was a brick wall that contained many openings and I knew this must of been where the previous Owners kept the hearth. I looked at My girl and smiled to her asking her what she thought. The look on her face was one of beauty and excitement and she responded to Me that it was lovely. I nodded to her and then said. "Will be a lot of work to get it cleaned up and ready to inhabit". Just as I expected from her she responded... "aye but it will be done as You wish".

Together with My girl I continued to walk around the main hall and saw  a few passages that led either to stairs or other rooms. I proceeded to make My way along each and found that one led to stairways that led upstairs where I then saw what appeared to be a large sitting or reading area. There were two large glass doors that opened up to a rear balcony. I also saw three openings to long corridors. I proceeded to make My way down one of the corridors with My girl in tow. It appeared that this corridor seemed to house the Chambers for the Free. Moving through I made My way down another corridor that clearly seemed to be set aside for different types of offices or meeting rooms. As I proceeded down the third corridor I could see that it had been set up with smaller rooms, more than likely used to be rented out as alcoves.

Pleased with what I had seen I made My way back downstairs making comments to My girl as I looked around taking note of the things that would need to be done if I were to decide on this place. As I reached the downstairs I made My way to one of the other openings from the Main room. This time there were some stairs that led to a downstairs area. As I reached the bottom, I looked around and saw that here there were much smaller and less private areas which was clearly the slaves kennels. Towards the end there was a couple larger rooms that were set up as a caging area and a dungeon.

I made My way back upstairs and I knew more and more that this would be the place I would claim, but I wanted to see more. My girl followed Me as I went into the kitchen area, and looked around, there were many shelves and counters. A large working area right in the middle with a huge wooden table. There was a back wall with even more hearths, clearly where cooking could transpire before bringing out the kettles of prepared food to the warming hearths in the Main Hall. I followed a trail that led down a long corridor and down some stairs, looking around immediately I knew this must be the cellar and storage area. It was a rather large area, more than enough room for what I needed. As I went back up to the kitchen I took a look at the chill room and as I opened the door You could still feel the chill that had been trapped inside. This too was a large room. Every now and then I would look at My girl and I could see the sparkle in her eyes for she saw the same potential in this Inn that I did and I knew she would do what it took to get this Inn cleaned up and in perfect condition.

I made My way back out of the kitchen and headed towards the back of the Main Hall where there were two doors that led to the back gardens. "Well this is far from a beautiful garden Mine" I chuckled as I looked at My girl. The giggle from her was priceless for she knew the work it would take to remove all the weeds and till the soil and plant some flowers to make it look nice and presentable. As we walked down a stone pathway we did take note that there did seem to be many fruit tree's, some in blossom which I thought to be a good thing. There also seemed to be a vegetable garden that also did not look so bad. It would appear that in this area we would really luck out for it just seemed to need a little tending to.

There was a lovely stream that led to a river. A gazebo sat along one side of the bank. Towards the back of the garden there apeared to be a watering hole, more than likely the kajira's play area. Closer to the Inn there was a very nice area that contained a hot spring. This I knew would come in handy.

Having seen all this, I stood looking at the back of the Inn, placing My hand on my Sword, I took a deep breath as I held My head high and said... "Welcome Home Mine, This will now be our Home, Larls Head Inn"
